Every story has its beginning, and for me, "The Turtle Who Could" was born from a simple yet powerful idea: believing in oneself. It started on a quiet afternoon as I watched children playing by a pond.

Their laughter and camaraderie reminded me of the importance of overcoming fears and embracing new experiences—something I often struggled with as a child.

The protagonist, Leo, was inspired by the shy and thoughtful kids I encountered, those who needed a little nudge to come out of their shells (pun intended).

The ducklings in the story represent the friends who encourage us, even when we doubt our abilities. Leo’s adventure isn't just about jumping into the pond; it’s about facing fears and finding the courage to trust oneself.

Creating Stories That Teach and Delight When I write children’s books, I aim to balance fun, colorful tales with meaningful lessons.

With "The Turtle Who Could," I wanted to show that bravery isn’t about being fearless—it’s about moving forward even when you’re scared. Whether it’s trying a new activity, meeting new friends, or facing life’s challenges, the story is a gentle reminder for kids (and adults!) that they’re capable of amazing things.

What’s Next for Leo? Many readers have reached out asking about a sequel to "The Turtle Who Could." I’m thrilled to share that I’m working on a follow-up adventure where Leo meets new friends and learns to navigate the challenges of teamwork and leadership.
